Eleanor Peters

Role: Womens Chair

Biography:

Eleanor is a registered member of Carlow H.C. and has played for them as keeper for the past 15 years. She is now transitioning out of playing - following a glorious cup win with Carlow 1sts in 2023 - towards a coaching, managing and umpiring role in the club. She is also involved in the Pitch Development Committee in Carlow H.C. which will soon see an astro pitch being installed in St. Leo's College, creating a homeground for Carlow H.C. matches.

Eleanor has previously served as Chairperson on the board of management of Carlow Educate Together NS, as well as being on several committees including Schools' Parents Associations, Carlow 1st Scouts, and the Federation of Early Childhood Providers. She is the Owner/Operator of 3 childcare centres in the Carlow area.

Eleanor is looking forward to bringing her experience along with a passion for hockey to the Womens' Section Committee as Chair, as well as serving as Director on the Leinster Hockey Board of Directors from Oct 23.
